Typically in our office, we start with a consultation with one of the doctors. You will discuss your health-related problems, and concerns. We will do a brief assessment of your condition and tell you if we believe we can help.
This initial visit is designed for our doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our holistic approach coupled with chiropractic care can achieve improvement in your health related issues. If your goals and philosophy are a match with ours, we schedule your examination and first treatment to begin your healing journey.
Once you decide to receive care from our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will discuss the cost and fees in our office and will obtain insurance benefits if applicable.
Our doctors will perform a detailed examination, testing your muscle function and flexibility. As well as perform other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed. Nutritional assessments are also part of our examination process as your nutritional status influences your response to chiropractic care.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take x-rays. We are conservative in our use of x-rays, however traumatic injuries such as automobile accidents and falls typically justify these studies. Stress x-rays, or specifically positioned views often times allow us to pin point your spinal ligament injury causing your pain.
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, our doctors will give you their assessment and a recommended treatment plan frequency. Our main goal in our office is help you get well. The sooner this happens, the better. Therefore, treatment frequency can change and is based a lot on your response to care coupled with clinical findings from examinations and testing.
Our office will provide the best treatment possible. If you respond well, your visits will be decreased accordingly. If your response is slower than expected we may order additional tests to more fully understand why your progress is slow. We may also recommend a referral to another practitioner. We believe that we are partners with you in this treatment process, so communicating questions or concerns is not only welcomed but expected.
Once a patient has achieved the maximum benefit from the treatments, the doctors will suggest a wellness program to help you maintain the health fitness level you desire. The wellness program recommended will be customized to your individual needs.
